Dr. Larissa Förster presented the role and tasks of the Department for Cultural Goods and Collections from Colonial Contexts of the German Lost Art Foundation. A core task of the Department is funding and fostering provenance research projects focusing on collections from colonial context. This is carried out taking into account the Framework Principles for Dealing with Collections from Colonial Contexts and its provisions related to “Provenance Research” which was defined as one of the areas of activity and objectives.
